Oracle is a ranged character. His primary attribute is intelligence. The hero is mainly taken to the easy lane as a support. Most effective in the early and mid game.
One of Oracle’s main features is his ability to save an ally from almost any situation. The Purifying Flames ability can either last hit an opponent or heal an ally. Fate's Edict can temporarily disarm an enemy core or protect an ally from magical attacks. The Fortune's End ability allows the hero to catch up with an enemy, start initiation and remove most negative status effects from allies. False Promise is one of the most effective spells to save an ally, and with the purchase of Aghanim's Shard, it will be even easier for Oracle to escape due to the gained invisibility. Aghanim's Scepter will grant the hero the Rain of Destiny ability, which can be useful in team fights.
