AUG | Chameleon appeared in the Workshop on November 29, 2013, and on February 20, 2014, it was added to the game as part of The Phoenix Collection, which was released alongside the start of Operation Phoenix. The skin was created by OniLolz and Zaphk.
The body of the rifle is painted black and adorned with a green pattern resembling scales and a large image of a hunting chameleon. The handle and the magazine are painted solid black. The barrel and the scope remain unpainted.
Float Value of AUG | Chameleon ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, which makes the skin available in all conditions. Traces of wear such as scratches and abrasions start to appear already in Factory New condition, but at this stage, they are almost unnoticeable, as they blend with the pattern. At Float Values close to the maximum, the weapon has large worn-out patches, the image of the chameleon is also partially abraded.
The pattern index does not affect the appearance of the skin.
The quality of AUG | Chameleon is Covert. The skin has a StatTrak option.
