UMP-45 | Fade was added to the game on September 22, 2021, as part of The 2021 Dust 2 Collection, which was released alongside the start of Operation Riptide.
The body of this SMG is chromed and coated with translucent paints creating gradient transitions. The skin’s color scheme comprises various shades of purple, pink, and yellow. Individual parts of the weapon remain unpainted. The gradient’s color ratio depends on the pattern index.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 0.08, which makes UMP-45 | Fade only available in Factory New and Minimal Wear conditions. Small abrasions are already present on unpainted parts of the weapon in Factory New condition. At levels of wear close to the maximum, small abrasions also appear on the painted parts of the SMG.
The pattern index affects the color ratio. Pattern variations with a predominance of purple (100% Fade / Full Fade) are considered the most valuable. Patterns where the amount of purple decreases (95% Fade or 90% Fade) are also considered to be valuable.
