AWP | Electric Hive was added to the game on December 18, 2013, as part of The eSports 2013 Winter Сollection, which was released alongside the “Winter Offensive” update.
The body of the rifle is unevenly painted black and purple and adorned with a pattern made in the form of a hexagonal grid resembling honeycombs. The grid is painted with a gradient including orange, blue and purple. Individual small parts of the rifle are painted solid purple. The barrel, the scope and the back part of the buttstock are not painted.
Float Value of the skin ranges from 0.00 to 0.40, which makes AWP | Electric Hive available in all conditions except Battle-Scarred. The first abrasions appear on the buttstock and the handguard in Minimal Wear condition. At levels of wear close to the maximum, the entire body of the weapon has significant abrasions.
The pattern index affects the gradient overlay on the grid pattern. The most valuable pattern variations are those with the hexagon grid painted solid blue (Blue Hives #273) and solid orange (Orange Hives #253).
