The knife was originally intended to be mounted on a rifle. This modification of the knife (M9 Bayonet) was developed in the USA in 1984. The in-game knife is based on the Smith & Wesson SW3B knife. This is one of the first knives added to the game. Very popular in the game community. This is also one of the most expensive knives in the game.
