CS2 Chicken Pets

Chicken pets were added to the game on September 22, 2026. A pet can be obtained through the Chicken Egg item, which may appear among the options in the Weekly Care Package for players with Prime Status. Choosing the egg takes up both weekly rewards. Only one pet can be owned on an account at a time. Eggs, feed, and the pets themselves cannot be transferred to other players or sold on the Steam Community Market. Eggs can vary in shell color and the number of speckles. However, the future breed or coloration of the pet cannot be determined from the appearance of the egg. After being obtained, a pet goes through three stages of growth. First, a yellow chick hatches from the egg. At this stage, its future breed and coloration cannot be determined. They become visible when the pet develops into a pullet. It then reaches the hen stage. Its size increases and its body proportions change, while the breed, coloration, and individual visual characteristics remain the same. There are three chicken breeds in the game: Catalana, Silkie, and Polish. Each breed has various color versions. In addition, individual pets of the same type may differ slightly in body proportions and visual characteristics. The Chicken Feed item is used to care for the pet and can also be obtained through the Weekly Care Package. If the supply of feed runs out, the pet leaves its owner.
