Polish

Polish is an old domestic chicken breed known for its large, fluffy crest. Despite its name, there is no confirmed evidence that the breed originated in Poland. Similar crested chickens are known to have existed in Europe between the 15th and 17th centuries and were depicted in many paintings from that period. Hens usually have a more rounded crest, while roosters tend to have a more ruffled one. The large crest can partially obstruct the bird’s vision, making these chickens easier to startle and less likely to notice danger in time. Polish chickens were once valued as an egg-laying breed, but over time they became primarily ornamental and exhibition birds. Some of the color variants featured in CS2 have counterparts among real-world varieties of the breed.
