AWP | Oni Taiji was added to the Workshop on September 5, 2015. Two years later, the skin was redesigned and on May 23, 2017, it was added to the game as part of the Hydra Collection, which was released alongside the start of Operation Hydra. The skin was created by L'grand.
The design of the skin is made in the style of traditional Japanese painting. The entire body of the rifle is adorned with an image of a battle between a samurai and a demon. The image of the demon is made in various shades of red and located on the buttstock. The image of the samurai with a sword in his hand is located on the receiver and the handguard. The barrel, the top of the buttstock and the scope are painted purple and adorned with an abstract pattern. The design of the scope is complemented by yellow accents.
Float Value of the skin ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, which makes AWP | Oni Taiji available in all conditions. The first abrasions appear on the buttstock and the handguard in Minimal Wear condition. At levels of wear close to the maximum, the entire body of the weapon has significant abrasions.
