SSG 08 | Acid Fade was added to the game on November 27, 2013, as part of The Safehouse Collection, which was released alongside the “Out with the old, in with the new” update.
The body of the rifle is chromed and coated with translucent paints creating gradient transitions. The color scheme of the skin includes various shades of yellow, green and gray. The color ratio depends on the pattern index. The barrel, the buttstock and individual small parts of the weapon are not painted.
Float Value of the skin is limited from 0.00 to 0.03, which makes SSG 08 | Acid Fade available only in Factory New condition. At levels of wear close to the maximum, several scratches and abrasions appear on the painted parts of the rifle.
The pattern index affects the color ratio of the gradient. Pattern variations with the maximum amount of yellow are considered to be the most valuable. The most common pattern variations are those with a predominance of gray color.
The quality of SSG 08 | Acid Fade is Mil-Spec Grade. The skin has a souvenir option.
