M4A1-S | Solitude was added to the game on August 14, 2025, as a limited-edition Armory item, released with the Tonight's Forecast: Rain-cient update. The skin was created by Valve. On January 21, 2026, it was removed from the Armory.
The receiver, silencer, magazine, and pistol grip are decorated with a dynamic pattern depicting a mountain landscape. The design features mountain peaks, stylized clouds, and a sun. Depending on the pattern index, the placement of the design elements and the color balance vary, so the skin's overall color scheme can differ significantly. The handguard and stock are painted blue, while the barrel and front part of the stock are finished in dark gray.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 0.70, which makes M4A1-S | Solitude available in all exterior conditions. The first minor abrasions appear on various parts of the body in Minimal Wear condition. As the Float Value rises, abrasions increase in number and size. They become clearly noticeable at approximately 0.17. At the highest wear levels, the entire rifle is covered with significant abrasions, and the skin becomes noticeably darker. The mountain landscape design on the receiver remains clearly recognizable.
The pattern index affects the placement of the mountain landscape elements and its color scheme. The community primarily highlights variants with a large sun above the trigger in the center of the receiver: Night Mountains with dark blue peaks (#56, #158, #322, #646), Spring Mountains with green peaks (#63, #269, #549, #726), and the rare Gold Mountains with golden peaks (#95, #304, #379, #652). Other notable variants include Gold Mountains without the sun (#112, #154, #220, #533), Double Sun patterns with two suns (#151, #191, #321, #634), the rare Triple Sun patterns with three suns (#347, #557, #675, #941), and patterns where the receiver is covered with Clouds (#2, #60, #127, #354).
