Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel was added to the game on March 31, 2025, in the Spring Forward update and became one of the rare special items in the Fever Case. The skin was created by Valve. The Skeleton Knife appeared in the game in 2019 as part of Operation Shattered Web and first received Chroma finishes in the Fever Case.
The blade surface is covered with a pattern of dark gray and light gray wavy lines resembling the texture of Damascus steel. The handle is wrapped in black tape.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, which makes Skeleton Knife | Damascus Steel available in all exterior conditions. As the Float Value grows, almost no noticeable abrasions appear on the blade. The blade gradually darkens, while the contrast between the light and dark areas of the pattern becomes less pronounced. After approximately 0.11, the darkening becomes clearly noticeable but remains acceptable. After approximately 0.30, the degree of darkening increases noticeably. At the highest Float Values, the darkening becomes especially noticeable and has a significant impact on the appearance of the blade.
The pattern index affects the placement of the texture on the blade surface. There are no special or rare pattern variations.
