M249 | Downtown was added to the game on July 1, 2022, as part of The Recoil Collection, which was released alongside A New Cassssssse update. The skin was created by The Honey Badger.
The design of the skin is made in graffiti style. The body of the machine gun has been painted with images of numerous multidirectional purple-blue arrows. The buttstock is solid black and features a gray pictogram. The barrel and some other parts of the weapon’s body remain unpainted.
The skin’s Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 0.65, which makes M249 | Downtown available in all conditions. Small abrasions start to appear on various parts of the weapon’s body in Factory New condition. At levels of wear close to the maximum, the number and size of abrasions increase significantly, the skin becomes noticeably darker.
The pattern index doesn’t affect the skin’s appearance.
