M249 | Spectrogram was added to the game on October 2, 2024, as part of The Graphic Design Collection, released with The Armory update. The skin was created by Valve.
Most of the machine gun's body and the magazine are decorated with a pattern of horizontal lines resembling a spectrogram. The design uses pale green, purple, and blue shades. The grip is painted solid gray. The stock is finished in purple and complemented by a small green gradient area.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50, which makes M249 | Spectrogram available in all exterior conditions. The first minor abrasions appear on various parts of the body in Minimal Wear condition. They become clearly noticeable at approximately 0.20. As the Float Value grows, abrasions increase in number and size. At the highest wear levels, a significant part of the paint layer is worn away, and the pattern becomes almost unrecognizable.
The pattern index affects the placement of the stripes and colored areas on the weapon's surface. There are no rare or special pattern variations.
The quality of M249 | Spectrogram is Industrial Grade. The skin is not available with a StatTrak counter.
