AUG | Steel Sentinel was added to the game on March 31, 2025, as part of The Train 2025 Collection, released with the Spring Forward update. The skin was created by Ryuken. Another skin by the creator, MAC-10 | Toybox, was previously added to the game in 2021.
The rifle's body is painted steel gray with a metallic shine. Various parts of the weapon feature panels with mesh and geometric textures. The design is complemented by small technical inscriptions and markings. A small purple accent is present near the muzzle.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes AUG | Steel Sentinel available in all exterior conditions. No abrasions appear on the weapon's body. As the Float Value rises, the surface gradually darkens and becomes covered with a brown patina. At the highest wear levels, the patina becomes more pronounced, while the metallic shine noticeably fades.
The pattern index does not affect the skin's appearance.
The quality of AUG | Steel Sentinel is Industrial Grade. The skin is not available in a StatTrak version.
On CS.MONEY, AUG | Steel Sentinel is among the ten most common AUG skins: about 210 offers.
