MAC-10 | Derailment was added to the game on March 31, 2025, as part of The Train 2025 Collection, released with the Spring Forward update. The skin was created by Tolik_Wask. According to available information, this is the first weapon skin by the creator to be accepted into the game.
The body of the submachine gun is decorated with bright comic-book-style artwork depicting a railway disaster. The receiver features a blue train car moving against the backdrop of a powerful yellow-orange explosion and clouds of purple smoke. The pistol grip features an image of a small blue train car that has derailed. The magazine is decorated with images of various railway cars arranged one above another. The stock frame and some parts of the weapon are painted red. The strap is finished in red and brown shades and decorated with a large stylized letter R.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 0.70, which makes MAC-10 | Derailment available in all exterior conditions. The first minor abrasions appear on various parts of the body in Minimal Wear condition. They become clearly noticeable at approximately 0.10. As the Float Value rises, they increase in number and size. At the highest wear levels, the body is covered with significant abrasions, but the design remains clearly recognizable.
The pattern index does not affect the skin's appearance.
The quality of MAC-10 | Derailment is Restricted. The skin is not available in a StatTrak version. The skin was among the ten nominees for Skin of the Year at the 2025 HLTV Awards.
