AUG | Syd Mead was added to the game on August 18, 2016, as part of The Gamma 2 Collection, which was released alongside the "Double Exposure" update. The skin was created by Coridium and Syd Mead.
The design of AUG | Syd Mead is inspired by old science fiction movies. The skin is made in red and gray colors with several accents made in yellow. The design is complemented by gray metal plates located on the buttstock and the receiver.
Float Value of AUG | Syd Mead ranges from 0.00 to 0.80, which makes the skin available in all conditions. Levels of wear can be determined by a layer of patina as well as the size and number of abrasions, which start to appear on the rifle in Field-Tested condition. At Float Values close to the maximum, the paint layer is completely peeled on the front side of the rifle.
The pattern index does not affect the appearance of the skin.
AUG | Syd Mead is named after its creator and is one of the most expensive skins for AUG. The quality of the skin is Classified. The skin has a StatTrak option.
On CS.MONEY, AUG | Syd Mead ranks 16th of 46 AUG skins by number of offers: about 120.
