FAMAS | Bad Trip was added to the game on March 31, 2025, as part of The Fever Collection, released with the Spring Forward update. The skin was created by HEWOK and Irapele. Another collaborative work by the creators, M4A4 | Etch Lord, was previously added to the game.
Most of the rifle's body is decorated with a bright psychedelic design featuring fantastical monsters with open mouths, sharp teeth, and clawed limbs. The grip, barrel, and some parts of the body are finished in dark gray. The magazine is decorated with horizontal orange stripes resembling a row of cartridges. Some small parts of the weapon are painted bright green and pink.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes FAMAS | Bad Trip available in all exterior conditions. The first minor abrasions appear on various parts of the body in Minimal Wear condition. They become clearly noticeable at approximately 0.60. As the Float Value grows, abrasions increase in number and size. At the highest wear levels, the body is covered with significant abrasions, but the images of the monsters remain clearly visible. The paint layer on the barrel is almost completely worn away, the pink details develop a rich red shade, and the skin becomes noticeably darker.
The pattern index does not affect the skin's appearance.
The quality of FAMAS | Bad Trip is Covert. The skin is available in a StatTrak version. In the Steam Workshop, HEWOK presented the BADTRIP series, which, in addition to the FAMAS, includes works for the AWP and AK-47.
