Nova | Rising Sun was added to the game on March 31, 2025, as part of The Fever Collection, released with the Spring Forward update. The skin was created by Mia. Another skin by the creator, MAC-10 | Whitefish, was previously added to the game.
Most of the body is decorated with a stained-glass design featuring Japanese motifs. The stock depicts Mount Fuji against a rising sun and pink clouds. The receiver features cherry blossom branches with pink flowers, stylized clouds in pink and blue shades, and a small orange fish. The design elements have a lacquered surface and are separated by dark outlines, emphasizing the stained-glass style. The handguard is finished in light gray and features fragments of cherry blossom imagery. The barrel and grip are silver and have a pronounced metallic sheen.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes Nova | Rising Sun available in all exterior conditions. As the Float Value grows, minor abrasions appear on various parts of the body, but they remain barely noticeable. A patina gradually develops on the weapon's surface, giving the skin a warmer tone. At Float Values above 0.60, the patina becomes clearly noticeable. At the highest wear levels, the patina becomes more pronounced, the skin becomes noticeably darker, and the metallic sheen on the barrel and grip fades.
The pattern index does not affect the skin's appearance.
