SSG 08 | Calligrafaux was added to the game on January 21, 2026, as part of The Harlequin Collection, released with the Fourth Season update. The skin was created by Valve.
Most of the rifle's body and the scope are finished in bright red and decorated with a light coral calligraphic design. Some parts of the body are gray and black and feature thin red outlines along the edges. The barrel remains unpainted.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes SSG 08 | Calligrafaux available in all exterior conditions. The first minor abrasions appear on the painted parts of the body in Minimal Wear condition and become clearly noticeable at approximately 0.25. As the Float Value rises, signs of wear become most noticeable on the calligraphic elements. At the highest wear levels, the body is covered with significant abrasions, but the calligraphic design remains recognizable.
The pattern index does not affect the skin's appearance.
The quality of SSG 08 | Calligrafaux is Industrial Grade. The skin is not available in a StatTrak version. The name Calligrafaux is a play on words combining the French words calligraphie ("calligraphy") and faux ("false" or "fake"). At low wear levels, the skin may appeal to players who collect red-themed loadouts.
