AWP | Queen's Gambit was added to the game on March 11, 2026, as part of The Dead Hand Collection, released with the Dead Hand update. The skin was created by Endrit and chioli. Another collaborative work by the creators, AK-47 | Inheritance, was previously added to the game.
Most of the rifle's body is finished in shades of gold with a pronounced metallic sheen and decorated with an intricate floral pattern. The receiver features an image of a large bird with outstretched wings, while the stock features a portrait of a queen with another bird behind her. The grip is wrapped in brown-and-beige material with a floral pattern and decorative stitching along the edges. The barrel and scope are painted dark blue and complemented by a heraldic pattern of light blue leaves. The scope is decorated with a large blue gemstone. A gold-colored ornamental pattern runs along the edges of the blue magazine, while the stock is fitted with soft blue pads.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes AWP | Queen's Gambit available in all exterior conditions. The first minor abrasions appear on the barrel in Minimal Wear condition. As the Float Value rises, abrasions increase in number and size. Signs of wear become clearly noticeable at approximately 0.13. At the highest wear levels, the blue paint on the barrel and scope is almost completely worn away, while the gold-colored section of the body becomes noticeably darker and loses its sheen. The images of the birds, the queen's portrait, and the floral patterns remain clearly visible.
