MP9 | Spy Prototype was added to the game on July 8, 2026, as part of The Spy Tech Collection, released with the Season 5, Armory, and More update. The skin was created by Isaac and Oaasis.
Most of the submachine gun's body is coated with semi-glossy white paint. The surface is decorated with an abstract pattern of curved lines and rectangular elements in various shades of light blue. The grip and most of the stock remain unpainted, along with several smaller parts. Small fragments of the white-and-blue pattern can also be seen on the foregrip, rear section of the stock, and magazine. The receiver features the small white inscriptions SMG and PROTOTYPE.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes MP9 | Spy Prototype available in all exterior conditions. The first minor abrasions appear on the painted parts of the body in Field-Tested condition and become clearly noticeable at approximately 0.26. As the Float Value rises, abrasions increase in number and size. At the highest wear levels, much of the paint is worn away, revealing a rich emerald green color underneath. The unpainted black parts remain almost unchanged.
The pattern index affects the placement of the pattern on the weapon's body. There are no rare or special pattern variations.
The quality of MP9 | Spy Prototype is Mil-Spec Grade. The skin is not available in a StatTrak version.
