Nova | Smart Gun was added to the game on July 8, 2026, as part of The Spy Tech Collection, released with the Season 5, Armory, and More update. The skin was created by SerQ. One of his previously accepted works is AK-47 | Head Shot, created together with CORSUS. Another SerQ skin, SCAR-20 | Sirocco Script, was included in The Arabesque Collection in the same update.
The skin has a futuristic design. Most of the shotgun's body is covered with silver metallic paint, while the stock and some smaller parts are matte black. The rear section of the receiver, the grip, and part of the stock are decorated with blue-and-pink artwork. A human brain is depicted above the trigger, with bright pink lines resembling tentacles extending from it. The handguard features a large black diagonal element. Small technical inscriptions and markings appear on various parts of the body. The stock features symbols resembling Japanese characters.
The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes Nova | Smart Gun available in all exterior conditions. Minor abrasions and scratches are already present on various painted parts in Factory New condition. New abrasions appear on the black areas in Field-Tested condition but remain almost unnoticeable even at the highest wear levels. At approximately 0.15, the silver parts of the body begin to develop a turquoise tint. As the Float Value rises, the turquoise becomes more intense, the ribbed section of the handguard takes on a pink tint, and the image of the brain becomes noticeably darker. At approximately 0.93, the skin develops a vivid turquoise-purple color scheme. Some players prefer the skin at high Float Values.
The pattern index does not affect the skin's appearance.
The quality of Nova | Smart Gun is Restricted. The skin is not available in a StatTrak version. According to the creator's concept, a real human brain is integrated into the weapon's mechanism. The design represents a fusion of living intelligence and engineering technology. The skin may appeal to players who collect purple-themed loadouts.
