Nyx Assassin is a melee character. His primary attribute is agility. The hero is mainly taken to the hard lane as a support. Most effective in the early and mid game.
Nyx Assassin is a very useful hero in mass fights due to Impale and Mana Burn. And with Spiked Carapace, the hero is able to interrupt almost any enemy initiation. The Vendetta ultimate ability allows Nyx Assassin to be an effective scout, and with the upgrade from Aghanim's Shard this ability makes the character even more mobile. Aghanim's Scepter grants the hero the Burrow ability, which slightly limits his movement speed, but makes the hero more durable, which is very useful during defending or ranged fighting.
Unlike most grubs of his colony, Nyx Assassin did not arise from metamorphosis with the plodding thoughts and blunted appendages. He was chosen and blessed by Nyx herself. He alone was awarded the highest fate. After his metamorphosis, he was reborn, by grace of Nyx, with abilities which shaped him for one thing and one thing only: to kill in the name of his goddess.
