Tusk is a melee character. His primary attribute is strength. The hero is mainly taken to the hard lane as a support or hardlaner. Most effective in the early and mid game.
Abilities such as Ice Shards, Snowball, and Tag Team make Tusk a very useful ally in team fights. He can do a lot of things: block a retreat, overtake an enemy, save an ally in almost any situation, or deal additional damage to an enemy. And thanks to the Walrus Punch ability, the hero can easily knock out a weak opponent. Aghanim's Shard upgrades the Ice Shards ability, allowing it to deal additional damage over time. Aghanim's Scepter grants Tusk Walrus Kick, an ability that allows him to kick an enemy unit in a targeted direction.
Ymir the Tusk was a bar frequenter who always liked brawls, which left behind tons of shards and splinters. To save the tavern, the barkeep proposed a wager to the fighter: seek out the biggest battle he could find, survive, and win it for whichever side he chose. The stakes? The next round of drinks.
